Cape Cod Potato Chips began as the dream of two small business owners who imagined a small operation where they could produce and sell the potato chips they had been cooking in their kitchen for years. On July 4, 1980, that dream became reality when they set up their first little shop in a small storefront in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The big crunch of the kettle cooked chips soon became a local favorite and news of the chips quickly spread as tourists sampled the chips and took plenty of bags home to share. The business soon grew out of the little storefront and a worldwide love affair with Cape Cod's natural snacks began. Cape Cod has expanded their snack offerings to include varieties of popular reduced fat items as well as over a half dozen potato chip flavors.
